What is the HibouAir Desktop Solution?
The HibouAir Desktop Solution is a plug-and-play indoor air quality monitor that connects via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to your desktop or mobile device. It offers real-time tracking of CO2 or particulate matter (PM), along with pressure, temperature, humidity, light, and VOC levels.
Do I need Wi-Fi or Ethernet to use it?
No Wi-Fi, gateway, or cloud connection is required. Simply use the USB BLE dongle (included) to connect directly to your desktop app—everything runs locally
What sensors are included in the desktop unit?
Depending on the model you choose, you can monitor:
  • CO2 models: CO2, pressure, temperature, humidity, light, VOC
  • PM models: PM1.0/2.5/10, pressure, temperature, humidity, light, VOC
How much data does it store?
The device locally retains up to 7 days of historical data, making trend analysis on the desktop app possible.
What operating systems are supported?
The desktop software works on Windows 10, macOS, and Linux, and updates environmental readings every 30 seconds
How far can I be from the device?
The typical Bluetooth range is up to 30–50 meters, depending on walls or obstacles .
How many rooms/devices do I need to monitor?
Generally, one device adequately covers a room of about 30-40m²
Will I need to pay import duties?
International import taxes or duties may apply, depending on your local customs regulations
How do I set it up?
  • Plug your device into power and bring it near the desktop.
  • Plug in the USB BLE dongle.
  • Download and launch the HibouAir Desktop app.
  • Click "Connect" — the app updates data approximately every 30 seconds
Can I also use a mobile phone?
Yes! Pair the same device with the HibouAir mobile app on iOS or Android via BLE. You can access data from both desktop and mobile simultaneously .
Is cloud access available?
The Desktop solution is local-only, but cloud access is available via HibouAir Portal or Cisco Spaces integration—these offer historical data analytics, automated reports, and alerts
What certifications and build quality does it have?
Constructed from durable ABS plastic, it's CE-, FCC-, RoHS-, and halogen-free certified, with a 12-month manufacturer warranty included
What's the return and warranty policy?
  • Returns: Contact support via email; return shipping applies. No refund for damaged products
  • Warranty: 1-year guaranteed coverage for sensor or technical defects

    How do poor air quality levels affect health?
