Getting started with HibouAir


Select the appropriate tab for your solution.
Follow the guide to set up HibouAir - Air Quality Monitor and get access to your environment data.

Note : A SIM card needs to be inserted before delivery.

  1. Download the HibouAir mobile application.
  2. Connect your device to a power source and get close to the device.
  3. Example of outdoor application mounted on traffic light.
  4. Open the HibouAir app and select "GUEST"
  5. Device list screen shows all the devices and their connection status. Select your device to view sensor data.
  6. Device details screen will shows sensor data based on device type.
Get Data from the Portal
  • Access your account on Sensor Analytics Dashboard at Hibou Portal
  • Enter your credentials to login into your Dashboard Account.
  • Using the dashboard setup button , you can customize the dashboard to show current or historical air quality data for a specific device and sensor.

Note : This setup instruction is only applicable for part no. SSD002/1, SSD002/2, SSD022/1

Connect your Device
  1. Download the HibouAir app.
  2. Connect your device to a power source and get close to the device.
  3. Login to HibouAir cloud with your credentials or use as Guest.
  4. Device list screen shows all the devices and their connection status. Select your device to setup wifi.
  5. On the details screen, click on top right button to open up menu. Select Setup wifi.
    (Guest users will not have this feature.)
  6. Setup wifi for the device using SSID and password from wifi router.
You will get a confirmation message upon successfull submission.
Get Data from the Portal

  1. Download the HibouAir Desktop application.
    Or download HibouAir desktop application pro
  2. Connect your device to a power source and get close to the device.
  3. Connect HibouAir USB dongle to your computer
  4. Run the HibouAir desktop application that you have downloaded earlier and click connect.

Application Preview
Real-time air quality data of your surrounding environment will be shown on your desktop. The data updates every 30 seconds.

  1. Download the HibouAir app aimed for Cisco Spaces.
  2. Connect your device to a power source and stay close within bluetooth range.
  3. Device list screen shows all the HibouAir Cisco Spaces devices and their status.
    Select a device to display sensor data.
  4. Device details screen shows sensor data.

Onboarding with Cisco Spaces
  1. Login to your Cisco Spaces account. Click here
  2. Select IoT Services > Device Management from the menu on the left
  3. Click on the Onboard Devices button
  4. Enter the order ID to claim your device
  5. Login to Cisco Spaces App center https://dnaspaces.cisco.com/app-center
  6. Go to App Center or click here
  7. Search for HibouAir Lite
  8. Activate the app
  9. On the next screen select Sign up for an account if you do not have a HibouAir account or login with existing user. Click continue
  10. Accept permission and select the location where the device is located.
  11. Select HibouAir Devices location and click Select & Activate
  12. Once you activated HibouAir Lite, you will be redirected to HibouAir Cisco Spaces dashboard. The dashboard will ask to add device mac address to access data for the first time.
  13. Click on Add device
  14. Write down device MAC address and a name for the device on Add a device screen.
  15. Once the device are added, you should be able to see updated data on the screen
    16. After activation, you can always access HibouAir Cisco Spaces dashboard at
    https://dnaspaces.hibouconnect.com/#/login or select HibouAir Lite from Cisco Spaces dashboard.

Follow this guide to set up the HibouAir - Air Quality Monitor using Gateway (GW-OWM0131) and get access to your environment data.



Connect your Device
  1. Connect your HibouAir device to a power source.
  2. Power up the Gateway (GW-OWM0131).
    Connect an ethernet cable to the blue RJ45 connector on the Gateway.
    Connect the other end of the ethernet cable to your router to get internet access.
    The Gateway will automatically read the sensor data and push it to the cloud.

  3. Download the HibouAir app.
  4. Login to HibouAir cloud with your credentials or use as Guest.
  5. Device list screen shows all the devices and their connection status.
  6. Device details screen will shows sensor data based on device type.
